Cantores Chamber Choir directed by Simon Harper presents a programme celebrating music and song, weaving together sacred and secular pieces from the 16th Century to the present day. The theme of singing and playing instruments in worship to God in motets by Byrd, Gibbons, Monteverdi and Palestrina is presented alongside music written in praise of the patron saint of music, Saint Cecilia, by Phillips and Howells, with secular pieces by Lassus, Finzi, Bridge and Vaughan Williams.
Saturday 18 October 2025 at Holy Trinity Church Minchinhampton, Stroud (4pm). Tea and cake will be served in the interval.
